Just a thought:
Since when are flaws bad? Not gaping holes, but barely glimmering slivers, they’re not problematic. In fact, the benefits — team-wide urgency on every individual — more than outweigh the costs.
Isn’t that what you see when you see the Flyers miss out on Zach Parise, Ryan Suter and Matt Carle? That the good (everyone on the roster scraping to compensate for voids on the wing and defense) more than compensates for the bad (grossly overpaying two b-level talents for a decade)? Should be.
